  • Claiming service for international insurance (Inpatient)

Please provide us with the following documents for claiming process :

  • Copy of a valid passport or other photo ID (with your signature)
  • Scanned copy of insurance card or certificate (both front and back)
  • Other documents that may be required by your insurance company

Steps we take to obtain your coverage/GOP :

  1. A staff member will make a copy of your required documents so kindly make sure that your insurance policy is still valid.
  2. An attending physician will write medical reports, treatment plan and other relevant documents, which will be sent to your insurance.
  3. Once the relevant documents are submitted, your insurance company will consider the coverage benefit of the medical expenses in line with your insurance policy.
  4. Even though the insurance company has informed you that it will pay for your medical expenses, Paolo Hospital requires an official letter of payment from the insurance. This guarantee states whether or your expenses are covered and if yes, then how much and until when. If this is not received during your admission, you will be responsible for your treatment expenses.
  5. Upon discharge, you will be required to sign the bill and pay for any additional, personal expenses, according to your insurance policy.

Key Notes :

  • You may need to settle the excess amount, co-payments, deductibles, and non-payables at the time of your discharge
  • Provided that the Hospital does not receive the letter of payment from your insurance company at the time of your discharge, you may need to pay the medical expenses first and claim back the amount from your insurance directly.
  • A deposit of 30,000 THB up to 100% of the total estimated cost is usually requested at the time of your admission.
  • Any Letter of Guarantee from assistance or insurance company which does not have direct billing agreement with Paolo is subject to acceptance by the Hospital on its sole discretion.

 

Tip for seamless insurance service :

Please contact and obtain a letter of guarantee from your insurance company in advance.  If your insurance company is one of whom Paolo Hospital Phaholyothin has a direct billing agreement with, please present the letter of guarantee prior to or during your hospital admission procedure.

Paolo Hospital Phaholyothin primarily accepts OPD cashless service with its contracted partners (please see Direct billing contracts with valued partners; assistance & international insurance companies worldwide) and strictly based on the covered services specified in the letter of guarantee (LOG).

Subject to the Hospital’s sole discretion, cashless service for non-contracted guarantee is also accepted on a case-by-case basis.

In its simplest term, direct billing is an agreement between Paolo Hospital Phaholyothin and its insurance/insurance assistance companies. This agreement allows patients for insurance/assistance companies with whom Paolo Phaholyothin is partnered to enjoy cashless IPD/OPD medical services.
